How to run a Fronius Solar.update

Software updates on Fronius SnapINverters can be applied to fix any software related bugs or to fix any software related state codes.  Fronius inverters, which are setup for online monitoring have the remote software update feature enabled and can be remotely updated through Fronius Solar.web. For systems which are not setup for online monitoring, SnapInverter updates can be applied via the inverter’s USB port and the GEN24 updates can be applied via the inverter´s web interface. 

Fronius GEN24 Plus

Easy online update in Fronius Solar.web: 

In Solar.web under "Settings - Components" you can always download the latest software for your GEN24 Plus. 

 

Offline update:

1. Download the update file here

2. Connect to the user interface of the inverter:

• Via browser
• Via app

3. Then select the category "Update" in the menu item "System"

4. Select the file 

5. Perform the update

Fronius Tauro & Tauro Eco

Easy online update in Fronius Solar.web: 

In Solar.web under "Settings - Components" you can always download the latest software for the Fronius Tauro. 

 

Offline update:

1. Download the update file here

2. Connect to the user interface of the inverter:

• Via browser
• Via app

3. Then select the category "Update" in the menu item "System"

4. Select the file 

5. Perform the update

Fronius USB Update/Galvo/Primo/Symo/Eco

The 'Fronius USB Update/Galvo/Primo/Symo/Eco' provides the latest software for Fronius Galvo, Fronius Primo, Fronius Symo and Fronius Eco inverters.

 

SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

• Download the software update file
• Copy the froXXXXX.upd file to the main path of the USB stick (in FAT32 format).
• Connect the USB stick to the USB port of your inverter.
• Go to the SETUP menu of the inverter.
• Scroll down to "USB" and press Enter (fourth button from the right on the inverter).
• Scroll down to "Software update" and press Enter.
• Press Enter again to start the software update.

Fronius Solar.update/Energy Package

The 'Fronius Solar.update/Energy Package' provides the latest software for the Fronius Energy Package.

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/DATAMANAGER

The "Fronius Solar.update/Datamanager" package contains the latest software for the Fronius Datamanager. You can update the Datamanager online via the SolarWeb portal if it has been set up for online monitoring.

Instructions for an offline Datamanager update:

1. Connect your laptop via LAN cable directly to the Datamanager (LAN socket).
2. Set the IP switch to switch position A (left when standing in front of it) at the 4 status LEDs.
3. Call up the IP address 169.254.0.180 with a browser (Chrome, Firefox, ...).
4. Execute the update file "SE_FW_FroniusSolar.update_Datamanager_EN.exe".
5. A WebServer is started from which the Datamanager downloads the required files.
6. In the web interface, click on "Firmware Update" on the right-hand side, then "via LAN" and "Perform Update".

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/AGILO

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/Agilo' contains the latest software for Fronius Agilo inverters.

It is recommended to reload the particular country setup in your inverter (e.g. Setup DE, Setup ES, etc.), so that all changes have been applied in the memory of the device. In case of any questions about reloading the country setup in the service menu, please get in contact with your national TechSupport hotline.

Please consider that - with a reload of the country setup - all settings regarding grid parameters that have already been executed will be overwritten (by default limits as required in the national standards). You have to adjust the parameters manually via the inverter display again, if necessary.

The package „Fronius update/Agilo“ contains the latest software for inverters of the Fronius Agilo series. It can be executed via Fronius Solar.Service software.

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/IG/IG TL/IG PLUS/CL

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/IG

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/IG' contains the latest software for all inverters of the Fronius IG series.Please note that this update is NOT applicable for US-devices!

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/IG TL

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/IG TL' contains the latest software for all inverters of the Fronius IG TL series. It can be executed with the Fronius Update Package or Fronius Datalogger directly via PC. The package 'Fronius USB update/IG TL' contains the latest software for all inverters of the Fronius IG TL series. It can be executed via USB Stick. 

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/IG PLUS CL

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/IG Plus/CL' contains the latest software for all inverters of the Fronius IG Plus and Fronius CL series.

Please note that this update is NOT applicable for US-devices!

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/STRING CONTROL 100/12

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/String Control 100/12' contains the latest software for the Fronius String Control 100/12.

FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/STRING CONTROL 250/25

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/String Control 250/25' contains the latest software for the Fronius String Control 250/25.

FRONIUS DATALOGGER UPDATE 5.01.22/ FRONIUS SOLAR.UPDATE/DATALOGGER2 /FRONIUS DATALOGGER WEB UPDATE

The package 'Fronius Datalogger Update 5.01.22' contains the latest software for every Fronius Datalogger (easy/pro).

The Fronius Datalogger easy/pro is equipped with a serial interface as well as a modem interface.

 

The package 'Fronius Solar.update/Datalogger2' contains the latest software for every Fronius Datalogger2 (easy/pro).

The Fronius Datalogger2 easy/pro is equipped a serial interface, a modem interface as well as a USB interface.

 

With the update for the Fronius Datalogger Web you implement the latest software version to your DATCOM-allrounder.

FRONIUS PERSONAL DISPLAY DL UPDATE

With this update, both the Fronius Personal Display DL and the Fronius Personal Display Card will be updated to the latest firmware version.

Fronius provides the drivers needed to manage the interaction between Fronius hardware and your PC. Simply download the drivers and your datalogger will be ready to capture and post-process data from your system.

USB Driver for Fronius Datalogger easy/pro

This package contains the Microsoft Windows USB Driver (32/64 Bit version) for Fronius Datalogger easy/pro.
